“My story:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twenty-one years ago I fell three metres from a stone staircase onto concrete, with my eight-month-old baby in my arms. The baby was fine! I wasn’t. My shoulder and neck were badly injured in the fall. I was in constant pain for months, years. Gradually I got used to not being able to do certain things, such as lifting anything at all heavy including things like pouring water from a full kettle. Sadly I also couldn’t hold my toddler\u2019s hand as we walked together.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the years since the accident, I have consulted all kinds of medical and alternative practitioners. I have seen: physiotherapists; chiropractors; osteopaths; neurologists; acupuncturists; sports injuries specialists, and an orthopaedic surgeon who said my only option was (difficult, delicate) surgery, which I didn’t want to risk. Not one of these people helped. Some treatments made it worse. I became resigned to a life of restricted activity, and took powerful anti-inflammatory medications regularly.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then one day I noticed the Pain Relief Massage Clinic sign. I thought, why not? I’ve tried everything else.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the first treatment, I knew I had finally found someone who completely understood the problem and knew how to make things better. In those early weeks of treatment, the chronic pain I had lived with for so long became less intense and less frequent. As time has passed, I’ve experienced much longer spans of time in which I am completely pain-free. This, after twenty-one years of chronic pain, still seems like a daily miracle. Also I no longer need to use anti-inflammatory medication.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
